MFJ Superbike All Japan Road Race Championship – JSB1000

Motul
14 September

Motul has announced its supporting activities in the 2017 MFJ Superbike Championship Series. Firstly, as the partner of the Yamaha Factory Racing Team, fighting for an unprecedented six consecutive championship title in 2017 after achieving a glorious run of five consecutive championships (seven in total) in the 1000cc Class, the Japanese Superbike Series’ top class, for the first time in the Series’ history. Through those consecutive years, Motul is highly honored to have been Yamaha's partner in the challenge.

Motul’s logo will also be back on the machines developed by Yoshimura for the first time since 1986. The mighty Yoshimura Motul team will compete together in the Japanese Superbike Championship Series' 1000cc Class. They will also compete at the Suzuka 8 Hours Road Race of the World Endurance Championship Series. With Suzuki’s new GSX-

1000 bike, the team is currently developing the most powerful and the lightest machine so far. The clear aim is to regain the team crown in the one-liter class. For Suzuki and Yoshimura fans, Motul, too, is throwing all its effort and expertise into developing the machine.

Finally, using the new Honda CBR1000RR (Moriwaki-tuned), Motul joins together with Moriwaki Engineering as the Moriwaki-Motul Racing team in the Japanese Superbike Championship Series. Also, the team returns after nine years to the Suzuka 8 Hours Road Race of the World Endurance Championship Series. The new machine, with greatly reduced weight and increased power, is showing high potential and superb handling. Renewing its contract as technical partner, Motul is again fighting for the podium with Moriwaki Engineering.
