They enthral the crowds wherever they go, from their native Russia to the Netherlands, or from Germany to Iran... The Legend Stunt Team stunt drivers conquered the public of the first Italian meet of the SBK Motul, in other words the World Superbike Championship, from 12 to 14 May in Imola... In this meet where Motul was the title sponsor, they displayed insolent mastery of their skills and limitless confidence they have in their favourite lubricant.
Eleven times during the weekend, Marat Kankadze, Yuri Verkhovnikov and Grigory Taldykin ramped up the excitement on the Enzo e Dino Ferrari circuit, track-side and paddock-side. 'Italians love motorsports and respect us like they respect the drivers battling it out in the races,' commented Marat Kankadze. 'We feel that in the way they look at a bike or by the warmth of their cheering.'
Grigory Taldykin didn't hide his satisfaction either in regards the welcome received in Italy: 'Even the weather did its bit in contributing to the success of this weekend. Here, men, women and even children, everyone has a good motorcycle culture and knows about their’s ins and outs. They continued to encourage us after shows by showing us they want to communicate with us, by taking photos... Our job takes on an entirely different dimension with such support!'
