The museum of Ducati can be found on the outskirts of the beautiful Italian city — Bologna.
Outside the factory building is a big poster reading SCRAMBLER - LAND OF JOY. Important note — if you are going to visit the museum on weekdays, then there is a chance you may see the motorcycle assembly line!
The museum walk begins with history of the Ducati brand, which at the beginning in 1926 didn't produce motorcycles, they worked as radio engineering bureau.
In 60 years the working volume of Ducati engines has increased tenfold!

There is an interesting motorcycle, which logo combines the names of two famous motorcycle brands — Cagiva and Ducati. Initially, as the Cagiva Elefant was modified by the installation of the V-Twin engine with more volume, there was 750 models of Ducati Elefant released . But his fame was brought not by poor reliability and a special logo, but performances at the rally-raids and victory in the Paris-Dakar race under Edi Orioli in 1990.
In the mid-eighties Massimo Tamburini built a completely streamlined closed motorcycle around the new motor — Ducati Pantah with belt drive. It was the first bike born from the Ducati − Cagiva collaboration. The name of this bike is a tribute to Renzo Pasolini, the famous Italian rider. He died in accident in Monza Grand Prix 1973.
